The buyer experience

Find a beat

Browse the live auction feed or search by producer name, beat title, genre, or key. Every auction shows the current top bid, number of bids, and time remaining.

Create a free account

Browsing and watching auctions is free and requires no account. To place a bid you'll need to create a free buyer account and add a card on file.

Your card is never charged just for bidding — only if you win. No deposit, no hold of any kind.

Place your bid

Enter your bid amount — it must beat the current highest bid by at least the $20 CAD minimum increment. There's no deposit and no hold; your card is charged only if you win.

All bids are binding. If higher bids fall through, your card is charged at your own bid amount — only bid what you're prepared to pay.

Win the auction

When the timer hits zero the highest bid wins. Your card is automatically charged your winning bid plus a 5% platform fee. If a charge declines, the sale cascades to the next-highest bidder — each charged their own bid plus 5% — until one clears. No surprises: the total is shown before you place your final bid.

Receive your beat

The moment your payment clears, the full beat file — MP3 or WAV, the format the producer set at listing — is released to your account instantly. A license certificate is issued automatically, and the auction's verification ID transfers to you, confirming your ownership — verifiable permanently at hastahaus.com/verify.

5% on winning bid

Paid by the buyer on top of the winning amount. The producer receives 100%.

Upload your beat file and a 30-second preview. Set your genre, BPM, key, and license type. Choose your auction's visibility and duration — public auctions run 24, 48, or 72 hours; private auctions run 3, 7, or 10 days. Set a starting bid or leave it at the $12 CAD minimum and let the market decide. A verification ID is created for the auction the moment you list it, held in your name until the beat sells.

The preview is what buyers hear. The full file is released to the winner automatically the moment payment clears.

Your auction goes live

The moment you post, your beat is live on the platform. Buyers can preview, watch, and bid in real time. You can monitor bids from your producer dashboard.

Auction closes

When the timer expires the highest bidder wins and their card is charged automatically — their winning bid plus the buyer's 5% fee. If a charge declines, the sale cascades to the next-highest bidder, each charged their own bid, until one clears. No action required from you.

Get paid

100% of the winning bid is paid out to your connected Stripe account. The full beat file is delivered to the buyer automatically the moment payment clears, and a license certificate is generated and issued to them — including the auction's verification ID, which transfers to the buyer on sale. Nothing to send manually.
